There are some key factors to consider when exercising, to achieve maximum results. These factors include the duration of each exercise intensity, frequency that you develop, and whether or not you use interval training. Some body builders forget the importance of cardio, because they do not want to lose muscle mass accordingly. It is important that part of your exercise regime focuses on aerobics. Note that although cardio does not promote muscle loss, if your goal is to add mass you should do about 20-30 minutes a time, otherwise you'll burn too many calories.
Frequency You generally do cardio workouts 3 to 5 times per week, unless you have lots fat to lose, then you can go from 5 to 7 times per week. You should never pace your cardio sessions for over 48 hours because your body start to lose the positive effects of previous training.
Interval Training Interval training is a cardio workout that takes less time than a regular cardio workout and burn more calories. This type of training is very effective and you only need to do for 15 to 20 minutes at a time. An example of interval training is a period of 3 minutes and walk quickly for 2 minutes. You continue this cycle until your workout is finished (do not forget to warm up). This type of training is excellent to prevent the boredom that can come with cardiovascular steady state and increases fat loss. Interval training is also good for improving your cardiovascular capacity and prevent loss of muscle mass that can come with regular cardio. Remember that you should always changing the duration of your running and walking time to keep your body guessing. This type of cardio can be done on virtually any cardio machine, and also outside.

Cardiovascular Responses to Exercise $40 Exercise is the act of increasing metabolic rate for the purpose of enhancing physical fitness. Exercise can be one of the most stressful physiological responses that the body undertakes. With exercise, there are increases in metabolic rate, heart rate, blood flow (hyperemia), respiration, and heat production. The increased metabolic requirement during exercise is well met by an increased blood flow (functional hyperemia) and oxygen supply to the exercising tissue, which is regulated by multiple local and systemic mechanisms.
