exercise helps asthma

What type of exercise and how much would be effective to help lose weight? I have asthma.?
I am 5 feet 4 inches and 160 pounds. I lose 45 lbs. I have asthma and too much exercise it arouses so I need something that is effective but not too strong. I can walk without getting hurt, but does not do any good and how do you do?
I'm built just like you and has lost 38 pounds last year (which I put it on your size) on the low-carb diet, but he was very strict. I now walk (at a good pace but not running by any means) on my iPod music every morning from -4 to 6 days a week, about 2-2.5 miles. I am Cal So its been over 100 every day for a while Now that its cooler, I'll add a half mile. I lost 17 pounds on it and a gram of fat from 25 per day. Veges sounds harsh, but are steamed 0, the tuna is low, the salmon, good multigrain bread can be 1.5, etc. When I Jones for ice cream I eat one of those 100-calorie low-fat Yoplait its yogurt-0 again. I can also throw a sliced banana and a great dessert. Go to your bookstore and get one of these books for handbag gram of fat. They are great. You freak fast food! Its amazing how many people eat! You can always eat with the family, etc., just make your own mayonnaise and butter, etc. My only loss is I'm a fan of peanut butter, but his loss was a regular and easy and I know that music and walks have been amazing for my moods and health. My cholesterol dropped 50 points!

Asthma $9.99 Asthma: Relax You're Not Going to Die Asthma sufferers can breathe more easily thanks to the natural approach to asthma relief in Asthma: Relax—You're Not Going to Die. There are more than 24 million asthmatics in the United States and 150 million worldwide. Over the past twenty-five years, there has been a staggering increase in the number of asthma cases—doubling in those under eighteen years of age. And this epidemic has occurred in the shadow of great advances in the conventional diagnosis and treatment of asthma. While drugs have proved lifesaving for many people, the long-term answer for asthma sufferers is in learning how to embrace a healthy lifestyle. Dietary changes, exercise, environmental controls, supplements, and herbs can alleviate your asthma symptoms safely and effectively, without the side effects of conventional drugs. Jonathan M. Berkowitz, M.D., is an asthmatic as well as a physician. He went through his own frustrating experience with conventional drug treatment for his asthma and was able to return to health by adopting the lifestyle changes he now shares with you. In Asthma: Relax—You're Not Going to Die, you'll learn: How eating fruits and vegetables can alleviate asthma symptoms; Why asthma suffers should embrace exercise, not fear it; The ways your home environment may be making your asthma worse and how you can fix it; The important vitamins, minerals, and herbs for asthma relief; How emotional stress contributes to asthma and ways to eliminate it. By adopting a healthier lifestyle, asthmatics can reduce, even eliminate, their dependence on steroids and other drugs. Dr. Berkowitz's message is one of hope: You're not going to die of asthma—you can, in fact, live a long, healthy, and productive life. About the Author: |

Diagnosis, Prevention and Treatment of Exercise-Related Asthma, Respiratory and Allergic Disorders in Sports $80 Asthma and allergy represent increasing problems for the actively competing athlete. The prevalence of exercise-induced asthma (EIA) has increased over the last two decades, especially amongst elite endurance athletes; it has been reported that high-level endurance training in particular may increase bronchial hyperresponsiveness (BHR) and cause inflammation in the airways. Intensive endurance training and competition, together with environmental influences, are thought to be causative factors. For winter sports, inhaled cold air represents such an environmental factor; moreover, exposure of competing swimmers to organic chlorine products released from indoor swimming pools is another example of a harsh environment. Furthermore, the increased amount of training and increased level of physical fitness and maximum oxygen uptake reached by present-day elite athletes may, in some cases, make it difficult to discriminate between limitations to maximum exercise set by normal airways and EIA. This underlines the need for developing good diagnostic criteria for EIA and BHR in relation to sports. |
