Heart disease in women: Women and Heart Disease

The risk of heart disease in women increases with age. Heart disease is the leading cause of death among women over 40 years, especially after menopause. Menopause is a stage normal life of a woman, it includes all of the changes a woman experiences either before or after the termination of its rules. As menopause approaches, the ovaries gradually produce less estrogen (a female hormone), causing changes in the menstrual cycle and other physical changes. Each year, more than 500,000 women die of the United States of heart disease. This translates into about one death every minute.

Heart disease in women is preventable according to the latest guidelines from the American Heart Association. Reason to understand the cause of heart disease women could not be emphasized enough. Heart disease kills one woman in three Americans, but it should not be that way. 60% of American women now know that heart disease is the health threat No. 1.

- Exercise regularly (30-60 minutes of aerobic exercise three to five times a week is optimal).

However, there are certain factors that can not be influenced to prevent heart disease in women. Factors such as age, family history and menopause can not be controlled or prevented.

But there are other factors that could be influenced, by exercising the option. This could prevent deaths from heart disease among women. As mentioned earlier, introducing some changes to our lifestyle, and bearing a positive attention towards the meaning and purpose of life, women can fight against this terrible disease and live healthy and fulfilling lives. Meditation, yoga, prayers and religious activities can have enormous impact on our lives and provide the necessary inner strength to cope with the pain and pressure of heart disease.

Diabetes and high cholesterol, homocysteine, and blood pressure can be improved through diet, exercise, medications and supplements. Rich in protein C-reactive protein (CRP), an inflammatory biomarker, may help identify those who might benefit from anti-inflammatory response. Diet, lifestyle, positive adaptation to stress, and supplements can help weight loss and help reduce stress. Quitting smoking will also reduce the risk of heart disease among women.
