Hamster wheel: Is this correct?

I was just wondering if a metal wheel would be acceptable to my Syrian hamster. I know that in mice, they are a nono because of their tail. But my hamster has almost no tail. Literally. So would a wheel mesh, displayed as the link be so bad? Write me review. Mesh wheels are ok, even for mice. Your link did't work, but I guess you would say something like: If http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=19813 you are particularly concerned by the wheels of mesh, you can usually get plastic versions for about the same price.
