good exercise regiments

good exercise regiments
fanatical drive, can you give me a good regiment?

Hey, I'm a man of 17 years, and I want a pack by summer. I'm thin, not in pieces. There's just a layer of fat on my six pack. I was jogging two miles a day for the last two weeks and I also did some ab exercises. I have read, however, it is really bad for your legs to jog every day. Someone can give me a good weekly workout regiment that will work on my whole body (focusing on ABS), so that I exercise often and in a good amount? Thank you everyone! :)

A jog daily age is not bad but it can affect your joints after a while. There are other exercises you can incorporate to break jogging routine. Cycling puts less stress on knees than running. Swimming is excellent because it puts no pressure on your joints and a cardio workout, the more it will work the upper body a lot. One of the best cardio workout that works both your core muscles is boxing. Save money and buy a heavy bag, about 30 min per day of shredding and you hit this layer of fat. If you do not have access to a gym or weight, start a daily routine necessary practice body weight ... Pumps, squats, crunches, pullups, and dips ... start your routine with a number of comfort with, say, 25 of each and then increase this number every day, in a short time you will do 100 reps of each and make a good workout in. Search the Web for variations on these exercises and how make it more difficult to keep challenging your luck .. Good

This Is an Exercise

This Is an Exercise

A darker, more dramatic, and more polished affair than All Your Faded Things, Anna Oxygen's second album, This Is an Exercise, is just as fascinating as it is chilly and alienating. In her songs, Oxygen explores some of the same issues of authenticity, creation, and consumption that Tracy + the Plastics do, but with a sci-fi/fantasy bent, as song titles like "Fairy Quest" suggest. Certainly, the album sounds like synth pop as imagined by a replicant, or a lower-fi Laurie Anderson: at times, Oxygen sings surreal lyrics like "we wear fake pajamas" and "this is just a soggy reinvention of all the things I want to lose" in a deadpan so deeply frozen that almost any emotion could be projected onto it; at other times, her voice and the music are so dramatic that she seems like she's parodying the very notion of emotions. The overt quirkiness of All Your Faded Things is downplayed on this album, with the noticeable exception of "Mechanical Fish," a sketch that questions whether or not a real fish would have any more insight into itself than a manmade one. "Willow Song," meanwhile, surrounds its beautiful, gliding melody and Oxygen's ethereal vocals in very unnatural-sounding nature sounds. As cerebral as she is, Oxygen has a way with hooks and beats that comes to the fore late on This Is an Exercise, where the robotic groove of "Walk" and the aloofly mischievous "Psychic Rainbow" add a pulse to the album's brains. From the eerie-yet-danceable "R.R.N." to "Hold You," the delicately spooky lullaby that closes the album, on This Is an Exercise, Anna Oxygen excels at creating a unique, sometimes disturbing sonic world with an almost-palpable sense of atmosphere. ~ Heather Phares, Rovi Performers: Andy Gertz - Accordion; Melissa Collins - Cello; Anna Oxygen - Sequencing, Piano; Kitty Jenson - Vocals; Mirah Yom Tov Zeitlyn & Ginger Brooks Takahashi - Vocals

The No Sweat Exercise Plan (A Harvard Medical School Book)

The No Sweat Exercise Plan (A Harvard Medical School Book)

$21.95

''Insufficient exercise plays an important role in four of the 10 leading causes of death in the U.S., including heart disease, cancer, stroke and diabetes. And it may also contribute to the eighth leading killer, Alzheimer's disease.'' This is according to Simon (medicine, Harvard Medical Sch.; The Harvard Medical School Guide to Men's Health ), whose compelling wellness book teaches those ready to start an exercise and diet program how to do it and how to measure their progress. He offers in-depth explanations of why one should exercise, which exercises develop the cardiovascular system, why one should include weightlifting in a weekly routine, and why exercise becomes essential as one grows older. A chapter titled ''Exercise Therapy: Good for What Ails You'' explains why exercise leads to better outcomes for several conditions, among them stress, hypertension, diabetes, peripheral artery disease, and chronic fatigue. A discussion of nutrition and preventive medical care emphasizes what you should eat - not what you shouldn't . Excellent graphics are provided throughout, particularly in ''20 Guidelines for Healthful and Enjoyable Eating'' and ''Preventive Medical Services for Healthy Adults.'' Highly recommended for undergraduate, public health, public, and consumer health libraries. - Howard Fuller, Stanford Health Lib., Palo Alto, CA.

Breakbeat Science: Exercise 2

Breakbeat Science: Exercise 2

When drum'n'bass albums fail -- and they often do -- it's usually either by sounding too much like smooth jazz with polite little skittering beats, or by being too harsh and abrasive. Neil Zarama (a.k.a. Juju) splits the difference nicely between those two pitfalls, offering a mix-CD that keeps things texturally interesting and rhythmically sturdy, without either pushing the listener away, or lulling him to sleep. Part of Juju's secret is the artful inclusion of musical elements from around the world -- notably from Brazil, as demonstrated most impressively on Drumagick's "Sambarock." Jamaica is also represented (on DJ Dara and A-Sides' fine "Unholy Grail," which slides from frantic NYC drum'n'bass into reggae-fied junglism about halfway through the track). Juju's own "Space Vato" is pretty good, but wears out its welcome before the end of its five-minute length; Abstract and Calibre's "Control," though, is presented in an exquisitely clean and complex jungle mix that works beautifully. Highly recommended overall. ~ Rick Anderson, Rovi
