Busy Moms: How do you motivate (bribe?) you to exercise during the day?
I need to start exercise, but my kids are up to 6, and I will not stop until they are in bed by 8:30, then all I want to do is curl up and watch TV! How do I motivate myself to carve out a real time exercise? (I used to put them in the stroller and walk, but now they are too big, they want to ride trikes / scooters and go so slow that it takes us an hour to get the order some blocks and not a good workout for Mom!) All excellent ideas motivate you to go to the gym before the kids up wak And after they are in bed, work or exercise in your daily routine, while maintaining the household stuff? I found that entering the gym was impossible! However, I do not get up to 45 to 1 h before removing children in the morning. That means getting up at about 5:00, but after the first 2 weeks of the difficulty in doing so, I began to really appreciate the time of the morning calm. I invested in an elliptical machine (it costs less than a year of joining the gym) and I upgrade our Netflix to 3 dvd's at one point and one of them is reserved to my workout video. I turn to the elliptical machine and DVDs. It is easier to get up and work at home, then get up and go to the gym and time savings. My daughter (4) loves the workout videos. She thinks they are like dance. She is the one who wakes up early in the morning sometimes, she'll do with me. And we have a rule that, if they get up early, then they should let him finish mom. They can do it with me, but I will not stop to have breakfast someone or something. Another thing is a park I found that I can walk around and I can still see the playground together. It was not really a hiking trail, but I made the mine. Now that my kids are old enough to play on their own, I can walk around and watch while they play, but strongly on foot. Good luck! It is very difficult to get out of bed the first few weeks, but after you started, you will have mor energy during the day.
