Why my headphones always break?

I always get new ones every 2-3 months. I know you're not supposed to wrap them around the iPod or playing music too loud (That I'm not) but I need those who have good quality, are durable, and fit in your pocket easily. I would like to use some over the ear, but I need them to be portable and good for work, then I need a headset to the ear. Also, I need those who will not slip out of your ear while exercising. Why does not the headphones manufacturers make more sustainable. Do they really expect us to carry them in boxes some foam padded everywhere we go? They are not headphones Skullcandy

I think it's because you use cheap ones, my headphones were still before the break after about 2-3 months, I listen lots of music and it really disappointed me, but once I got a little more expensive it lasted almost a year.
